PRF Skin Therapy
PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) skin therapy is a cutting-edge, natural treatment designed to rejuvenate and regenerate the skin. It involves using a small sample of your own blood to extract growth factors, platelets, and fibrin, which are then injected into your skin to promote healing, stimulate collagen production, and improve skin texture. Unlike PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), PRF is a more advanced version that uses no additives or chemicals, making it even more natural and pure.
This non-surgical procedure is increasingly popular for treating signs of aging, improving skin tone, and reducing wrinkles, acne scars, and other skin imperfections. PRF is a completely safe and effective way to enhance skin health, using the body’s own healing properties.
How it works…
PRF therapy begins with a quick blood draw, similar to what you’d experience during a standard blood test. The blood is then placed into a special centrifuge, where it is spun at a slower speed than in traditional PRP treatments. This slower spin allows for the separation of the blood components, concentrating platelets, white blood cells, and fibrin, while minimizing red blood cells.
The resulting PRF serum is rich in growth factors and stem cells, which have powerful regenerative properties. This serum is then injected into the targeted areas of your skin. Once injected, PRF stimulates tissue regeneration, improves blood circulation, promotes collagen and elastin production, and enhances skin hydration.
The whole procedure typically takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour, with the injection process being relatively comfortable thanks to the use of a topical numbing cream.

Natural Skin Rejuvenation:
Since PRF uses your own blood, there’s no risk of allergic reactions or rejection, making it one of the most natural methods of skin rejuvenation.
PRF promotes the regeneration of skin cells, improving tone, texture, and overall skin health.
Collagen and Elastin Stimulation:
PRF encourages the production of collagen and elastin, which are essential for maintaining youthful, firm, and elastic skin. This helps to smooth out wrinkles, tighten sagging skin, and improve skin elasticity.
Reduces Fine Lines and Wrinkles:
By promoting collagen and elastin production, PRF significantly reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, leaving the skin looking smoother and more youthful.
Improves Skin Tone and Texture:
PRF helps to even out skin tone and texture, minimizing the appearance of sun damage, hyperpigmentation, and discoloration.
It enhances overall skin radiance, leaving you with a brighter and more even complexion.
Acne Scars and Skin Imperfections:
PRF is effective in treating acne scars, stretch marks, and other types of scarring. It stimulates the skin’s natural healing process, which leads to the breakdown of scar tissue and the regeneration of healthy skin.
Hydrates and Improves Skin Quality:
The growth factors in PRF increase the hydration of your skin by improving the flow of nutrients to the skin’s surface, leaving your skin feeling more nourished and supple.
No Additives or Chemicals:
Unlike PRP, which may require additives like anticoagulants, PRF is a pure, chemical-free product, which reduces the risk of irritation or unwanted reactions.
Minimal Downtime:
PRF has minimal downtime compared to other cosmetic procedures. Most people can return to normal activities the same day or the following day, with only slight redness or swelling at the injection sites.

PRF is a versatile and effective treatment for a wide range of skin concerns, including:
1. Fine Lines and Wrinkles
PRF helps to stimulate collagen production, which improves skin firmness and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, especially around the eyes, mouth, and forehead.
2. Skin Tone and Texture
PRF improves overall skin texture, making skin feel smoother and more even. It is particularly beneficial for treating rough patches, enlarged pores, and dull skin.
3. Acne Scars and Other Scarring
PRF can be a highly effective treatment for acne scars, including rolling, boxcar, and ice pick scars. It breaks down scar tissue and stimulates the growth of new, healthy skin.
4. Hyperpigmentation
PRF helps to reduce sun spots, age spots, and melasma by promoting cell turnover and repairing skin damage, resulting in a more even skin tone.
5. Stretch Marks
PRF can also improve the appearance of stretch marks by regenerating skin and boosting collagen in affected areas.
6. Skin Laxity and Sagging
PRF is excellent for treating mild to moderate skin sagging and laxity, especially around the jawline, neck, and under the eyes, as it stimulates collagen and elastin production.
7. Dull, Dehydrated Skin
If you have dry, dehydrated, or dull-looking skin, PRF can rejuvenate and hydrate your skin from the inside out, making it appear more radiant and healthy.
8. Post-Surgery or Post-Procedure Healing
PRF can also aid in post-surgical healing or recovery from other skin treatments like microneedling, laser resurfacing, or chemical peels by speeding up tissue regeneration.

Avoid Sun Exposure:
Limit sun exposure for 48 hours before your PRF treatment to reduce the risk of sunburn or irritation. Always wear sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.
Avoid Blood Thinners:
For 48 hours before treatment, avoid any blood thinners or medications (like aspirin, ibuprofen, or certain supplements) that could increase bruising or swelling. Always consult with your provider before discontinuing any medications.
Hydrate Well:
Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment to ensure your skin and body are properly hydrated for optimal results.
Clean Face:
On the day of your treatment, arrive with clean skin free of makeup, lotions, and oils.
Discuss Health History:
Let your provider know about any health conditions or medications you are taking, including if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, as these can affect whether PRF therapy is right for you.

Expect Redness and Swelling:
After the treatment, it’s common to experience mild redness, swelling, or even small bumps at the injection sites. These usually subside within a few hours to a day.
Avoid Sun Exposure:
For 48 hours after treatment, avoid direct sun exposure and wear sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) at all times. Your skin will be more sensitive to UV rays immediately after treatment.
Avoid Makeup for 24 Hours:
Avoid wearing makeup for at least 24 hours to give your skin a chance to heal and to minimize the risk of clogging pores or introducing bacteria.
Hydrate and Moisturize:
Drink plenty of water and apply a gentle moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated. Avoid heavy creams or products with active ingredients like retinoids for the first 3-5 days.
Avoid Heat and Sweating:
Avoid excessive heat (such as saunas or hot showers) and strenuous exercise for 24-48 hours to reduce the risk of irritation or inflammation.
Do Not Touch or Scratch:
Refrain from touching or scratching the treated areas, as this could introduce bacteria or disrupt the healing process.
Avoid Exfoliating:
Do not exfoliate or use scrubs for at least 5-7 days after your treatment. Your skin will naturally shed dead cells, but over-exfoliation could cause irritation.
Continue with Skincare:
After 1-2 weeks, you can gradually reintroduce your usual skincare routine, including exfoliators or active ingredients, unless advised otherwise by your practitioner.
