Cryolipolysis
Cryolipolysis, commonly known as CoolSculpting, is a non-invasive body contouring treatment that targets and eliminates stubborn fat through controlled cooling. It uses advanced technology to freeze fat cells, which are then naturally processed and removed by the body. This treatment is FDA-approved and offers a safe and effective way to reduce localized fat in areas that are resistant to diet and exercise.
How it works…
Cryolipolysis works by applying targeted cooling to specific areas of the body where excess fat is stored. The fat cells are more sensitive to cold temperatures than other types of cells, so when exposed to the cooling effect, the fat cells freeze and undergo a natural process of cell death, called apoptosis. Over time, the body’s lymphatic system naturally processes and eliminates these damaged fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction of fat in the treated area.
Who is the ideal client?…
Cryolipolysis is best suited for individuals who are close to their ideal body weight but struggle with stubborn pockets of fat that are resistant to exercise and diet. It is not intended for significant weight loss but rather for body contouring. The ideal candidate typically:
Is generally healthy and not overweight.
Has specific areas of stubborn fat (e.g., belly, thighs, love handles, back, arms, or under the chin).
Is looking for a non-invasive, no-downtime solution for fat reduction.
Has realistic expectations and understands that results appear gradually over time (typically within 1–3 months).

Consultation: Schedule a consultation with a trained professional to determine whether Cryolipolysis is right for you and to discuss your treatment goals.
Avoid Blood Thinners: If you are taking any blood-thinning medications or supplements (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil), it's a good idea to stop them a few days before your treatment, unless advised otherwise by your doctor.
Hydrate: Drink plenty of water before your treatment to ensure your body is hydrated and can easily process the eliminated fat cells.
Avoid Alcohol: Refrain from consuming alcohol 24-48 hours before your treatment as it may increase the risk of bruising and swelling.
No Recent Surgery: Ensure that the area you wish to treat has not undergone any recent surgery or procedure.
-
Massage the Treated Area: You may be asked to gently massage the treated area for a few minutes after your session. This helps to improve the breakdown of fat cells and may enhance results.
Expect Mild Side Effects: It is common to experience temporary redness, swelling, bruising, numbness, or tingling in the treated area. These symptoms typically resolve within a few days to weeks.
Stay Active: Light exercise can help stimulate circulation and speed up the elimination of fat cells. However, avoid intense exercise for the first 24-48 hours post-treatment.
Avoid Hot Showers or Baths: For the first few days after treatment, try to avoid exposing the treated area to extreme heat, such as hot showers, saunas, or heated pools, as this can increase inflammation.
Monitor Results: It may take several weeks to see noticeable changes in the treated area, with full results typically visible in 1–3 months. Be patient and follow up with your practitioner to track progress.
Follow Up Sessions: In some cases, multiple Cryolipolysis sessions may be needed to achieve desired results, depending on the area treated and individual goals.
